An easy place to start is with de-cluttering. Use this as the time to eradicate all of those things you’ve been thinking about getting rid of, be ruthless with yourself. If you haven’t used it for weeks or months, get rid of the item. You don’t need to throw everything away, you could sell things or donate them instead. Think about what you want to keep and take to your new home, this is a great exercise especially if you’re downsizing.
Another easy thing to do that will make a massive difference is to give everything a lick of paint. It will really make the rooms pop and help them to feel fresh and new again.
Now this one might be something different, but it may be worth changing your carpet for a different type of flooring. More and more people prefer other, harder flooring types for a number of reasons. Carpets are hard to get 100% clean of dirt, dust and debris can linger vacuum after vacuum. However when it comes to hard flooring, they can be swept and mopped. You’re also able to see if there is anything left on the floor, which you’re unable to in carpets.
