Spring Clean your Carpet
So you’re feeling a little overwhelmed with the thought of cleaning an entire house worth of carpet? Then break it down and take it a room at a time. This way, you can give yourself achievable goals. And you don’t need to feel like you have to get it all done in one day.
So where do you start?
It’s time to get the hoover out! Hoover over the carpet in your designated room multiple times, make sure you’ve picked up as much as you can with the hoover itself. This will make cleaning the rest of the carpet easier. It’s worth switching up attachments as well to make sure you can get into all the little nooks and crannies.
Once you’ve dealt with the surface debris, it’s time to move onto any stains.
Hopefully if you have recently dropped anything on your carpet, you were able to clean the majority of it straight away. Then for any left over stainage, we would suggest starting off with warm soapy water and a soft bristled scrubbing brush. If that doesn’t work, then it might be time to move onto chemical cleaners. If you are going to use chemicals on your carpets St Helens, then we would always suggest trying the solutions on a small and inconspicuous area of the carpet to see if it has any effect on the coloring.
